Melbourne Trip! - Day 1

Macam biasa la, dah berbulan tak belog, tiba2 nak tulis. Pebendaaaa? Hehe

Last month, a week before puasa, we had so much fun in Melbourne. This trip is actually our first trip with my bestfriend together with my husband of course, sebab last time masa we planned to go Hong Kong, iols tak ikut. So awal2 masa kitorang planning for Melbourne trip ni, Q dah pesan, "MESTI JADI OKAY!". Walaupun dah hampir2 tak jadi, kitorang jadikan jugak since dah plan for almost a year kot. 

Ticket flight kitorang cari for few months jugak sebab Melbourne ni cm hot destination jugak, so jarang la price dia reduce. Aku subscribed price alert dekat Skyscanner, so we can monitor closely on the pricing changes. The cheapest price we got is RM 790 return. Tapi masa tu tak beli sebab duit ASB tak masuk lagil. #biglol. Thank God few weeks after tu, masa tu ada promo Air Asia, so kitorang terus book. We managed to get the ticket for RM 827 retun per pax. Alhamdullilah. Visa kena ada ya, tp online visa je, cost around RM 30 per pax, boleh buat online saje. 

Journey KUL-MEL takes around 8 hours to arrive. Suggest ambik tiket malam, so kau boleh membuta dengan jayanya masa dalam flight. Hari nak fly tu aku masih kerja, memang saje dok penatkan diri, naik flight je, aku rasa ruang udara Port Dickson tak masuk lagi aku dah tidur.  Sampai je pagi dah dekat Melbourne. Timing dekat Melb awal 2 jam ye. Kitorang pergi time autumn, weather just nice. Coolest was 9c. Weather is a bit windy, but aku suka sebab cam tak mandi pun takpe sebab aku sentiasa wangi dekat sana. Kau rasa? Autumn sini tak yah pakai baju lapis2, just tshirt and jacket je. If sejuk sikit baru kitorang pakai heattech. 

First thing first, kita cari simcard dekat airport. Mostly ppl will opt for Optus, tapi sebab Optus punya line beratur tu panjang gilo, kitorang g kat Vadofone. Lebeh kurang je price dia, kitorang beli pakej data 9GB and free call, only cost us 40AUD per simcard. Apa yang kitorang perasan, data usage dkt sana lg jimat compared dekat Malaysia. Bayangkanlah 6 hari dekat sana dok scroll instagram mcm orang x pernah jumpa media sosial, dgn live session lg bagai, masa balik data kitorang ada balance lebih 7GB lagi. Kalau dekat Malaysia, tak dapat jep. 

And then, kitorang settlekan kereta sewa. Dekat airport ni berlambak2 agent kereta sewa. We booked through Avis. You can check the car company dekat website dorang. Banyak. Initially, kitorang book kereta compact ala2 Getz gitu since kitorang just 3 pax je kan, tapi entahlah kenapa dia bermurah hati sangat bagi kitorang Nissan Pulsar. Rezeki jangan ditolak gais. Process was fast and easy, bawak booking receipt, tp makesure ada credit card ye sebab payment dia tak accept cash. Price was RM 880 for 6 days. Fuel dia bagi full masa collection, tapi bila return kena penuh jugak lah. Kitorang tak amik insurans sebab mahal gila, tp kena bawak dengan sopan la ya. Lesen Malaysia boleh guna dekat sana. Cara pemanduan dekat city area je yang agak confusing, sila berhati2. Kalau tak, nanti kena hon macam kami. LOL

We chose Airbnb for our stay, since nak cari apartment yang ada dapur. Biasalah KG uols, mesti nak masak2 kan? Kitorang stay dekat Little Londsdale Street area CBD. Hayden the owner was so cooperative, even rumah kecil sikit compared dgn picture advertised in website, kitorang satisfied sebab so complete and selesa. Price was RM 1692 for 5 nights (apartment 2 bedrooms, with complete kitchen). Aku suka invest dekat accommodation sebab nak selesa, after penat berjalan. First day activity, semua pun nearby CBD area. Sebab first day tu nak settlekan kereta, rumah etc, bila sampai rumah dah petang pun. Sempat la membuta kejap #fefeelingjetlagged. Btw, if nak masak, barang dapur can be purchased at Coles. Coles ni mcm Tesco. Ada di mana2.

First spot kitorang pergi was Eureka Skydeck. Jalan kaki sajork guna Google Map. Takes around 20 mins from our Aparment. Eureka Tower is the tallest building in Australia, and 15th tallest building in the world (as of 2016), ada 88 tingkat semuanya. So if you happen to be in Melbourne, rugi lah tak pergi sebab from the skydeck, kita boleh nampak whole Melb city. Suggest to go time sunset. Kitorang pergi malam, cantik gila sebab lampu banyak. Tapi if pergi time sunset or petang, rasanya lagi cantik sebab their sky lawa gila. Sempat la feefeling Che Ta kat atas tu. Ticket was AUD 20 per pax.

Before we call it a day, sempat kitorang dinner. Memang confirm kitorang KG uols, sebab awal2 dah pergi cari makanan melayu. HAHAHA. From Eureka Skydeck, jalan around another 20 mins to arrive Little Ipoh (La Trobe St). Masa masuk kedai tu, ada 1 waiter ramah suggest kitorang macam2, tp aku rasa mcm familiar je dia ni. Aku tanya husband and kawan aku, dua2 blur. Before balik sempat tanya, rupanya dia ex group X-Factor, Shah. KAHKAHKAH. Patut la mcm kenal sebab dulu masa sekolah aku taste dengan Danny XFactor tu. #hehehe. Food was awesome, affordable price. Kat sini makanan around 20AUD per pax, sekali makan siap air. 

Tips untuk survive dan bergembira kat sini, kau jangan convert currency. Just spend!
